WHAT IF I’VE NEVER PRACTICED YOGA OR WORKED OUT BEFORE?

 

Well you’ve come to the right place.  All of our classes are designed to meet the needs of those who show up.  Once you’re there, we will work with you where you are and help guide you to where you’d like to be.

WHEN SHOULD I GET THERE?

Think of this as your home.  We would love to have you home early, or at least on time (so we don’t worry).  If for whatever reason you are running late, just take a deep breath and know that when you do arrive, you will be greeted with a smile!  That being said, we suggest you arrive 10 minutes early to class.  This gives you time to get situated and begin transitioning from your day into your now. You can park with valet up front for just $10 (good for up to 2 hours).

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Just show up.  That’s the most important piece.  Beyond that, it all depends on what class(es) you are planning on taking.  We suggest bringing a yoga mat, water bottle, and small (or large) towel.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

 

It depends on the class:  Any yoga or fusion class we ask that you wear comfortable and non-restrictive clothing.  While these classes are typically done in bare feet, if that is not comfortable to you, we welcome you to wear socks or yogitoes. Additionally, for any cardio or fitness-based class we ask that you wear shoes that are supportive, offer flexibility, and provide you with the ability to move with ease on the floor surface.

We suggest dressing in layers to ensure comfort, as your body temperatures will increase and decrease throughout class.

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A YOGA / EXERCISE MAT?

No worries ~ We’ve got you covered.  We have mat rentals available for $2/class,

DO I NEED TO CHECK IN BEFORE CLASS, MAKE A RESERVATION FOR CLASS, OR CAN I JUST SHOW UP?

Yes, checking-in for class is a must.  This means before you get your yoga or workout on, you’ll stop by our front desk, let us know you’re there, and sign-in (even if you’ve pre-registered online).  Although it’s not required, we really encourage you to pre-register online.  It just makes for an easier transition from your workday in through the studio.

CAN I HAVE MY CELL PHONE WITH ME DURING CLASS?

 

 

We have cell service and wi-fi, but who wants to be texting while they're working out? Not to mention you’ll be so into your breath, movement, and music that you may just forget about your phone for a bit.  

HOW DO I CHOOSE WHICH CLASS(ES) TO TAKE?

Share your experiences and we will do our best to guide you.  Please know that you are free to sign up for any style we offer.  We encourage you to respect your personal power in deciding whether the class happens to be the right fit for you on that particular day.  Each day is different and while we strive to provide the best experience to everyone in the room, you have the final say.  Just please listen to your body.  If you are brand new to fitness and wellness, we suggest you begin with a private session or beginner’s workshop.

WHAT IF I CAN’T DO A POSE / EXERCISE?

So what?!  No, honestly…it’s not about the pose.  We will offer variations of poses and exercises so that everyone will experience their level of success.  Maybe one day you’ll be able to do it…then again, maybe not!  Keep in mind, you’ll never “get there” because as soon as you “master” that pose, you’ll be challenged by something else.  Let’s just enjoy the journey!

ARE THESE CLASSES HEATED?

We do not offer a “hot” yoga or workout environment; however, depending on your level of physical intensity, you will get warm and sweat.

WHERE DO I PARK?

viBE Yoga students can park with Valet for just $10 (good up to 2 hours, pay on your way out). There is metered parking available on the streets (after 6 it is free).  There are also several parking garages adjacent to the building.

CAN I RIDE MY BIKE TO CLASS?  

We encourage you to walk or ride to class especially if you live close; while the studio does not have its own private bike rack, there are plenty of places right around here designed to store your bike.  Please bring your lock.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

DO YOU OFFER CHILDCARE?

We do not offer child care.

CAN I SHARE MY CLASS PASSES?

Class passes are for individual use, although a special pricing system may be set up to share with a family member or friend.  All class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable from one student to another.
